self-care products + Influenster #summerselfcarevoxbox

Hey y'all!

Recently, I received Influenster's Summer Self Care Vox Box, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the products, how I've been using them, and also share some other products I'm enjoying this summer!

If you haven't heard of Influenster, it is a product discovery platform that connects consumers and influencers to review products. I received this products complimentary for testing purposes, so Influenster is not paying me to review. These thoughts are completely my own, so you can trust what I'm saying haha!

Alright let's begin!

The first item in the Vox Box is the Aquis Hair PreWash. I am OBSESSED with this product. First of all, it smells amazing. You also get a ton of product for the price- which I love because I have a lot of hair and tend to go through hair products fairly quickly. The product is meant to be a hair primer before washing your hair- something I never heard of and didn't know I needed, but now I can't imagine not using! This is just like prepping your skin for makeup. You spray it over your hair, concentrating in damaged areas and places you want to improve (for me that's my ends and the roots of my hair!). According to Aquis, this product "fortifies hair before washing, leaving it healthier". I have definitely noticed less tangles during washing while using this, as well as less frizzy hair in general- something that is extremely important to me because I have a lot of breakage! This magical product also claims to maintain pH balance, which I have never heard of in a hair product before. Definitely check this product out if you are looking for ways to improve your hair's health and make it stronger. Aquis has an entire product line that I am hoping to try more of soon! (and bonus- this product has Sephora's clean seal of approval, meaning it's free of sulphates, parabens, and phtalates!)
This is hands down my favorite product in the box!

This product is a first-of-its-kind no salt surf spray! It claims to provide "effortless beach waves with a touch of hold + shine without dryness!). I used to use sea salt sprays when I was younger, but I found they always dried out my hair- probably because they were full of drying salt! This product removes the drying salt agents uses ingredients such as zeolite, silica, and sea buckthorn oil (never heard of these, but apparently they are good for ya- check it out on Sephora's description!). I only used this product once, but that one use made me love the product! I already have wavy hair, so it just added a touch of shine and hold to my frizzy waves. This product also smells AMAZING, which is a big deal for me for hair products because you will be smelling it all day!

Not gonna lie, I haven't used this product yet. I have always been scared to apply lash enhancers to my eyes, as I've heard horror stories from people using things such as Latisse and eyelash extensions and getting horrible eye infections. However, I will try to accurately describe this product and pull from some other reviews I've seen online. The only bad thing about Influenster is sometimes you can't really use the products they send- such as this one! I guess I could use it, but I am so afraid of putting things on my eyes, so it might be a sec for I actually give this one a shot.

This enhancer is top selling, claiming to "feed your lashes with nature's most powerful ingredients" and is "clinically demonstrated to enhance lashes for a longer, thicker lash look".

(retail $78.00).

Need a way to get your greens in? Try these tabs out! These yummy tabs are vegan and have a lemony taste (so it doesn't taste like rabbit food!). These tabs are only 10 calories, and are full of Vitamin B5, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, as well as spinach, kale, spirulina, chlorella, barley grass, blue green algae, aloe vera, and wheat grass. Further, this magical antioxidant-rich product is free of sugar, dairy, gluten, and other allergens. I think this is a great way to get in your daily greens and more! I also believe that getting vitamins from legit food is way better than just taking vitamins, so this is a quick and effective way to it. And the testimonials are incredible- just read the reviews for yourself!

Elta MD facial sunscreen: I am a HUGE advocate of using sunscreen on your face everyday (even during the winter and on cloudy days). The sun is also penetrating its harmful UV rays regardless of the weather, and I am also trying to protect my skin. This sunscreen has been a personal favorite for a long time because it leaves no residue and is meant for sensitive and acne-prone skin. I have been using the tinted version this summer instead of using foundation, which gives just the lightest amount of coverage and I have been loving it! Definitely recommend!

Thayer's Lavender Witch-Hazel: I am in love with this product. First of all, stop using all those toners and astringents with alcohol. Not good for your skin- they dry it out! Switch to something with witch hazel, such as this product. It is an alcohol free toner and it comes in a variety of kinds. I personally love the lavender one, because lavender has many benefits for skin. (Read here). I've found my skin to be much cleaner and smoother this summer, probably because of my consistent use of this product!

Vitamin C Serum: Never go a day without using vitamin C serum ever again! I am a huge fan of this might vitamin for improving skin's appearance and protecting it against harmful UV rays and free radicals. Read this quote from for more info!
