retro two-piece

Even though it's already fall in many people's minds, I'm still wearing my summer clothes as much as the weather will allow me. One such item is this adorable retro two-piece from Shein. It's definitely not something to wear after Labor Day, but I definitely think it's great for splitting up and wearing as a crop top and high waisted jeans (or with a high waisted skirt) as well as wearing the shorts with a long sleeve tee. So even though it's more summer-y, I can still make some use out of it by separating the pieces. I love the stripes on this outfit because it reminds me of the patterns in the 50s and 60s (which I am a big fan of that fashion era btw). So even though this piece might not be the best for after tomorrow, I hope you all enjoy it!

Don't you all just love the stripes on this? I think they are so classic and truly make this piece a retro recreation. The high-waisted shorts are totally Taylor Swift too which is also a plus. Also a quick note on this set- size up. Shein tends to size things quite small so definitely go up a size. I usually wear a small, but I went with a medium.

And before I forget- let me tell you all how much I love this ice cream. I'm not a big ice cream person (I know I know... blasphemy right??) However, this lavender honey ice cream is one of the best flavors I've tried in a long time. Definitely try lavender ice cream when you get a chance.

I knew converse would be the best shoes for this outfit, because it's once again totally retro. I love how casual this outfit is but it's still so cute and sassy. Perfect for so many occasions.

I hope you all have a fun and safe Labor Day tomorrow! I would be wearing this tomorrow, however, I will be back at school preparing for the school week. I never do that much on Labor Day anyways, but I would love to be on the lake if I had a boat. Let me know what you have planned tomorrow down below!

As always,

  1. This is such an adorable outfit! I've been eyeing up those two piece suits on shein and I'm tempted to buy one now! A lot of them don't have a model wearing them so it's nice to see what they actually look like on.

    1. Thank you Megan! I am so glad that I could help with sizing. It's definitely hard to shop on Shein sometimes due to not having the models wearing the clothes! I hope you find a set you like!

  2. Such a cute two piece! It would've been even more retro vibes if you would've had a red lip and pin up curls.
